Location : West Deptford, NJ

Salary : $70,000 - $80,000

THIS IS AN ON-SITE ROLE

Based in West Deptford we are a international leader in the production of polyesters and polyols, polyurethanes, and specialty resins.

Due to growth and demand for our services, we are in need of hiring for a EHS Specialists that possesses strong experience with OSHA, EPA, DOT and NJDEP

Responsibilities :

  • Help with the creation and execution of safety and industrial hygiene-related policies, plans, and procedures.
  • As needed, offer assistance with industrial hygiene as well as samples and solutions. In addition to managing and overseeing one or more institutional health and safety services or programs, offer safety support.
  • Provide innovative answers to challenging issues needing in-depth examination of many variables.
  • Establish the goals, strategies, and protocols for upcoming tasks.
  • Participates in ISO implementation.
  • Aids in compliance with DOT, NJDEP, OSHA, and EPA. Investigate compliance-related issues and potential solutions on the plant floor.
  • Helps the environmental engineer evaluate any possible or current effects that land use initiatives may have on the air, water, or land.
  • Assists with hazardous waste management, which includes training, site inspections, and waste categorization.
  • Helps with tasks pertaining to industrial hygiene, such as air and water sampling, surface wipe sampling, indoor air quality evaluations, and qualitative analyses.
  • Conducts audits and responsibilities related to environmental system compliance, including the following : PSPC / DPCC examinations.
  • Air and Water Permit audits.
  • Inspections of waste accumulation and storage areas.
  • Inventory, disposal, and waste logs.
  • Inspections of equipment for chemical storage, containment, and spills.
  • Inspections of pollution control equipment.
  • Takes part in the process of investigating incidents and monitors and records corrective action.
  • Helps with planning, sample, or safety inspection procedures.
  • Assesses environmental test results and inspections, and when appropriate, provides recommendations for preserving adherence to regulatory agency standards and permits.
  • Attends all meetings, trainings, and events pertaining to safety.
  • Performs above mentioned responsibilities safely, ethically and in compliance with all federal and state regulations.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental / Civil Engineering, Geology, Chemistry, Safety, or related field
  • 5 years of EHS experience
  • Familiarity with OSHA, EPA, NJDEP, and DOT
  • CSP or related safety certification preferred
